Whether you’ve been in the online marketing world a few months or few years, you’re probably familiar with Amy Porterfield. Or you’ve at least heard her name. She’s big time, a guru some would call her.
She’s known for having massive live launches for her courses and recently was just popping all over everywhere – podcasts, Facebook lives, just to name a few – for another launch.
My friend Cindy Bidar said it best when she said:
This is the live launch strategy she (and others) teach, and while it’s true some people make a whole lot of money in a very short timeframe with this kind of product launch, there are hundreds or maybe thousands of others who simply can’t pull it off.
Yep, that strategy might work for all the “big time” marketers out there. The ones that sell thousand dollar courses and have big teams. But for most of it, handling a launch like that is unrealistic.
Cindy wrote a great post about why evergreen launches are better than live launches. She includes five important reasons and goes on to share more in depth info about why those five reasons matter.
One of the five reasons is smoother cash flow and I wanted to highlight something she said about that because it’s important to remember:
Evergreen launch funnels are different. You’re probably not going to earn $30,000 in a weekend, but because you’re making sales every day, you don’t have to deal with the crazy income valley that inevitably follows the peak.
